Just purchased a 2009 FZ1. Haven't even had a chance to ride it yet due to the cold. Can't wait. Meanwhile, I could use some help on a lighting question. When you turn the key on, should the rear position lights come on like the front ones do? By position lights, I mean the turn signal lights. The front come on, then flash brightly if you select a turn signal, but the rear do not--though the rear turn signals work. The red tail light and license plate light come on also. And, when the bike is running, nothing changes except the headlight comes on. I've checked the manual and it only says that when the key is in the on position, "All electrical circuits are supplied with power, and the meter lighting, taillight, license plate light and position lights come on."--page 4-1 of the owner's manual. Any input would be appreciated. Hate to think something is amiss with this brand new bike. Thanks.
