Interested in the FZ1-Gen1. Have tried an FZ6, it was nice, but just not enough power down low. Anybody out there with a Gen1 in the south east, preferably Chattanooga area that would allow a short ride? I think it's the bike for me but I think I'd know in just 5min in the saddle. BTW, I'm coming off a Yami RoadStar 1700 - IMO it's the best cruiser out there but I was tired of the weight and bulk.
 
I know there are a few riders in TN -- krispy1 being one of them, but he is a gen II owner and I don't know if he would know any Gen I owners. You'd have to see if anything could be worked out as far as a test ride. However, it is a starting point to try and aid you in your search.

Have you checked the other forum to see if there might be a gen I owner closer by? If you happen to pass through NM, c'mon by...
