Hi all,

Not that I'm competitive or anything but what's the best BHP anyone's achieved through their mods?

Getting mine on the dyno soon and just interested to see what I'm aiming for!

Thanks

Marc

get before and after numbers... the end result number means nothing without knowing where you started.... if you started at 119hp, 139 is really impressive... if you started at 109, 129 is really impressive...

Ok, just had it set up on the dyno and got 154.7 at the crank, 141.9 at the wheel. Seems quite healthy to me but the curve is pretty much perfect now, no dips and it's really good on the road. Lovely!

Why don't I want to see yours???

Oh well, guess mine isn't very healthy then!

What sort of mods give the extra bhp?

Mine's had:

Butterflies removed
Airbox mod
K+N filter
De cat
Race exhaust
Power Commander

My dynoed 153@rear wheel and i still have header cat in, I am no expert but I thought you should've got a better result I basically have the same mods as you except I have Ivans FCU which has made a big improvement with the fuelling. Still good gains mate, as long as the bikes fuelling is smooth and the power's linear thats more important than few hp here and there. Try a 16t sprocket instead of the stock 17t, I still have the stock 17t but have ordered 16t the feedback from fellow members are positive.

I have to ask HUX a question. How did they measure the crank output? Did they do a numerical equation to calculate it from the rear wheel H.P. or did they actually measure it at the crank?

I'm coming is a little late, but with all mods I came in at 140, but it feels more like 170! I did just the horse check.

Bit of a delay in replying but I sold the bike and just bought it back again. Wish I'd never got rid of it! They worked it out so it's not a very accurate measurement.

Comparing dyno numbers is problematic at best and worthless at worse:)
Different dynos, different weather conditions, altitude, correction factors, opperator competency etc etc. As mentioned, the before and after results can be valuable (done on same dyno) but unless they were done on the same day/ weather conditions there will be some variation that has nothing to do with actual power output. The power curve and changes to its shape can be very telling as well. . .
This thread is kind of like asking people what the size of their member is. . . .

Unless we all get our bikes dynoed on the same day, same conditions and on the same dyno then comparing max HP figures mean nothing.

Just for reference mine made 144 HP at the rear wheel with all the mods in my signature.

ps I want to take my bike to Buildercher's dyno lol

124 on a Factory Pro = 141 on a DynoJet. FP is steady-eddie every time, regardless of conditions. My mods are an akra slip-on and a PC3 with a custom AF1 tune.
