How do you all know when it's time to repack/rebuild your slip-on? Is it my time, or sound?

Mileage and sound. Two Bros has a recommended mileage interval on their site. You can tell it's time because the thing gets progressively louder.

If your pipe is Carbon Fiber you almost can't repack it enough. The one disadvantage to the CF stuff is that if your packing goes completely away you will eventually burn a hole in the CF itself.

I have about 15000 miles on my CF pipe and the packing is still fine. I'll repack it at some point I'm sure, but it hasn't needed it thus far.
