I've been away for a little while and just picked up the latest edition of Australian Motorcycle News (AMCN) yesterday. I was shocked and saddened to learn that Ken Wootton has passed away at the tender age of 57 (way too young).

For those non Aussies reading this thread Ken was a motorcycle journalistic icon in this country. Probably best known as long-time editor of AMCN and as a commentator and interviewer at major racing events including the MotoGP and the Supers. I know I have benefitted from Kens efforts and still read AMCN religiously.

RIP Ken you will be sorely missed.
 
Yep that is sad news indeed, KW was the editor when I first started reading AMCN which fuelled my passion for bikes. He did a hell of a lot for the racing scene in all forms here in OZ. RIP Ken
