Wiring Issue, Shorts, Blown

Hi guys,

Well since Monday I've not been able to turn on my bike without the main 20 fuse blowing for the headlight/tailight/instrument gauge blowing. The bike was professionally rewired when I did the Naked headlight conversion. She only thing that happened is the front left turn indicator had it's housing cracked when I had my little down 2 weeks ago.

The fuse seems to blow if I click from low beam to high beam.

Does anybody know which wire is for the high beam?

Do you think I could have damaged the left instrument switch housing and that is creating short?

Do you think the damaged turn signal could be the cause?

To top it all off I got the worst cold I've had in years and been in bed since Monday. Have to get it sorted out by tomorrow morning.

My 1st thought was the left handlebar switch. Not too hard to pull apart and have a look.

I think I found it. The protective coat on the main yellow hot line had rubbed through. I tested it by flipping the bright on and off with the left turn signal on. Seems to be good. Wish me luck.

I had the same problem with HID's that were installed by my bikes previous owner. I swapped the ballasts with new ones and problem solved.
