Yamaha Registers YZF-R3 and R3 Trademarks

So this could mean a 300cc bike.

Im hoping it means we get a 3 cylinder R1 and eventually FZ1!!

Nothing to do with a triple....its the 300cc engine.

I was under the impression it was their 250cc bike. Just like their 850cc is the MT09 aka FZ9.

If it comes to the US it will be my wife's first bike. ....and maybe a commuter for me.

I don't think I would have the patients for such a small bike... a 250 even with torque is bad enough. I would want a 450-500 at least. The Fz9 850cc with a triple is ideal where it is at IMO for the people looking elsewhere.

I would think they (Yamaha) would be fools not to sell it here in the US given how well the Ninja 300 and CBR 250 have been selling.
