Finland fz
New Member
Hello!
I'm a noob on this forum, just bought a 2006 fz1-n in the brightest yellow possible ( I'll post a pic when i get a spare minute).
I'm living in snowy, slightly crap finland right now and bikes out here cost a fortune! Still i think i managed to get a reasonable deal even by finnish standards.
The bike is completely standard as far as I can tell and has a few scratches here and there but nothing too major. The plan is to do a complete custome respray at some point.
The point of my post is this: I noticed that just about where the front and rear exhaust pipes join, there is some kind of valve. Should there be some cables attached to this in order for it to work? As far as I can see there are no cables attached and I can't see how it would turn.
What is this valve and what does it do?
Its funny, but I said to my friend when we noticed the valve "I hope it won't make the bike any faster!". Thats not something I usually say... But the bike seems plenty quick enough as it is!
Anyhow, any info / advice will be most gratefully recieved!
Thanks
