Yep, that is my method also. I did not realize how bad I am until I rode with a camera mounted on my gas tank. I watched the vid and noticed my thumb would push the signal cancel a couple times a minute.
Sounds like a great marketing ploy to get you to buy their motorcycle line of filters. The PL14610 PureOne filter has been in use on motorcycles for years by numerous people with zero problems.
It all just comes down to liability, and Purolator is just covering their asses so they don't get...
I know it's all in how much you want to twist the throttle but damn that's got to be scary powerful! :smoking: Impressive build, love seeing custom stuff!
Yep, like PapaGeno said, that is the start of the reserve. The final bar blinks and 'F-Trip' shows up on the cluster and starts counting miles. Keep track of your mpg and you'll get a good feel on how far to push the F-trip. I had mine up over 35 miles yesterday and she took 4.3 gallons to...

The main bulb (item 2) is 12V 60/55W Halogen, PN: 4K0-84314-G0
The smaller two bulbs (item 4) are 12V 5W, PN: 5DM-84347-00
You can also figure it out the nerd way using the transmission and sprocket ratios.
65mph = 95.33 feet per second
(95.33fps)*(60s)*(2.647)*(1.208)*(1.512)/(3.14*2.04ft) = 4320RPM engine speed

Had a great ride Saturday from Hollidaysburg, PA to Chambersburg, PA and back via routes 994, 522, 641, & 997. Some great mountain roads!
Sunday I custom installed some mirrors. They were freebies from my brother that Kawasaki sent to him for some reason for his Z1000, even though he...

Last weekend I did some painting. High-temp black on the exhaust end cap and blacked out the passenger pegs.
And lastnight I got her stripped down in preparation for the naked conversion kit that FedEx will be dropping off at my doorstep today.
Rode about a 20 mile loop this evening after work. Just a quick one for some testing. I removed the windshield over the weekend, so I'm checking to see how it is going to feel with the naked conversion. Felt fine on the back roads doing between 40-60 mph. On the interstate, got up to 90mph...
If you don't mind doing a little filing on your bike, just remove the front seat and file down the width of one or both of the tabs until your D ring fits over it.
Quick and works great.

Good helmet, very light weight. Only complaint is the amount of wind that comes in through the visor. Not a very good seal there.
I just emptied my radiator last weekend and filled it and the reservoir back up last night. I just buy Prestone antifreeze from walmart and a gallon of distilled water. I have an empty Prestone jug in the garage. I use the two jugs to make a 50/50 mix and get two full jugs for the price of one...
