I went through a similar exercise which reduced most of my vibration compliants:
TB sync
Black Kuryakyn ISO grips with bar end weights (I could not stand the plain ProGrips)
I always use gloves
And I filled my bar with 12 gauge lead shot
I use the Bags-Connection Blaze Sport Saddlebags - with a slight modification, I can strap them under the rear seat or under my Corbin Smuggler. A little pricy, but the removal guide bars keep them from hitting the exhaust or the tire.

The smuggler is great - nice to have a bit more lockable space and it blends in well with my Top Saddlery seat... (Especially since I paid less than half of that cost...)

I'm using Graves frame sliders for 07-08 R1s - I preferred these over the Shogun sliders because they have notches that keep them from spinning when tightening the bolts.
With a few extra washers, they fit well, but I still had to trim one little spot on the fairing (1/8")
I love the Watsen LEDs I got before I got my lower fairings - to keep using them, I ended up cutting part of the OEM signal stalk to make a spacer for them. It took a while to trim them just right to sit flush with the fairing, but I can now take the fairing off/on without touching the signals:
It's legal - just check out the Ducati Diavel and it's "Innovative number plate mount" - it basically has this style license plate / mud guard straight from Ducati and is 50 state legal:
