    I see crap like that on bike frames all the time, cold mig welds was a kawasaki specialty a few decades ago, not very satisfied with the welds on my gen 1 either. you say that's titanium? it looks more like stainless in the picture + titanium is mostly tig welded... maybe that's another thing...

    no, you have to hold them upwards at an angle, you will know when the angle is right (they tend to hold there)

    buy a can of contact cleaner and spray all the connectors you can find, take the right black plastic cover(the one for the fuel pump, there is one connector for speed or rpm (don't remember), also under the tank there's a bundle

    Full Bore Tires

    I mounted a few on some cruisers... hard like a rock and needed a ton of weight to balance the wheels, cheaper than the cheapest though. Funny it says Full Bore USA on them, but it should be fullbore CHINA, they even have USA flag(colors) on the sticker

    1 liter 10wt. get the bushings too,,. you can polish the tubes with "metal-crome polish" guess you can find it in any auto parts store and a buffing wheel 2-3 cans of brake cleaner , an impact tool is also nice to have

    just did a test ride with s1000R and the RR, the R is miles away of any stock jap in the segment, pulls like a v2 from 2k rpm, amazing brakes , all the electronics you could think of but... the riding position is slightly better than on the RR, steering a bit too wide , no wind protection(doh)...

    in Europe we pay 30%more for about everything and than there's ~20% tax 7700E is not a bad price, does it have ABS? I would ask for new tires & fluids and get it, in NL old stock fz1 goes around 9-10k (euro)
