    Ecu west

For what its worth, I have an ECUWest Set up and a PCV. I had the PCV before having the ecu reflashed, so figured I may as well use it. Ivans ecu was not available when I got my ECUwset reflash. I ran a series of dyno runs: The first dyno run was off the reflashed ecu only and no PCV...

    Sydney area ride?

Hey Gents, Ride looked good, would have loved to join, but only just read the post. Let me know if you guys are interested in a ride down south one weekend. I would like to do the 'loop' in the not too distant future. Starting from Wollongong, ride down the F6 Freeway, through...

SCUMMY NSW Police Undertaking unethical Dog Acts - Entrapment

Well in the end i talked to a lawyer. He basically said unless your licence is in jeopardy, then its not worth fighting in court. Entrapment is not recognised in Australia and basically because i did cross the double lines, then the law views this as guilty, regardless of the situation or being...

Custom Oil Filters - Reusable Oil Filters - Cleanable Oil Filters - Green Oil Filters Check out the K&P Engineering website. Heaps of info on there. Im seriously considering getting one of these after reading this, especially considering the K&N filter I usually use costs near $20 a pop. I...

What speedometer correction device do you use and why?

Let me get this right? I have installed a 16T sprocket on my bike and run a speedhealer .... So are you guys saying that my odo will be out by the same amount (%) that i have adjusted my speedo by?

    Installed My Arrow headers....

The Arrows do not mount underneath the bike, if you are making comparison to the factory header. The only mounting points are the flanges on the engine and at the rear the headers bolt onto the slip-on, which is mounted on the passenger footpeg bracket. There is nothing midway.

    sprint steering damper

I just fitted a GPR V4 Damper to my bike and love it!! :) It improved the riding experience greatly by reducing vibrations and kick back through the bars (As slight it may have been perviously). For all the arguments that say the FZ1 does not need a damper, it certainly makes for smoother...

    FZ1 V's Z1000

Heres a comparison between a mates 2010 Z1000 (Mods are only - K&N Filter, Vances and Hines Brawler Slip-ons) and my 2011 FZ1 (Mods -Arrow Headers, Leo Vince Slip-on, AIS Blocked, Standard Airbox,K&N Filter, Longer Factory Pro Velocity Stacks , Shaved Secondary Butterflies (CD)...

    Lars v's Standard Airbox

Here are the spreadsheet files showing the map profiles. The changes on paper look very minor, however it is suprising how this difference is felt on the road. The standard airbox used a bit more fuel in the map and i will have to wait untill i do a decent ride to determine change to fuel...

    Lars v's Standard Airbox

The new map had 2-4 % more fuel across the range. I have plotted the maps and the differences in excel spreadsheet and created pdf's, and will post up once i convert to an image file.

    Lars v's Standard Airbox

AFR graph for comparison of different set ups. As you can see, the standard air box smoothed lower end up a little, but i guess the MAP based tune will help refine even further. It never ends......this is addictive :evillaugh:

    Lars v's Standard Airbox

Tuning authority....cool, so you can set the level of 'interference/changes' the Automodule does to the map? im guessing there are some parameters/base line it uses to determine when it has to make changes? Learning something new all the time. Thanks

    Lars v's Standard Airbox

Hi Andy, I am very interested in trying out the Autotune module and LCD Data logger. Something i'm looking forward to doing in the future when funds allow. Andy, can you confirm if i can connect the LCD Data Logger to use strictly as an analysis tool without having to use the Autotune Module...

    Lars v's Standard Airbox

The change back to stock will not give more power, but will allow for easier tuning to achieve the target AFR of 13, which means the bike will generally run smoother and more consistent. It was possible, but difficult to acheieve a target AFR with the cut airbox as there was a lot of variation...

    Lars v's Standard Airbox

Oooohh thats a sensitive subject  I was curious about how much additional power a cut airbox would infact produce so thought i'd run the test. The cut box certainly produces a louder induction sound. I'm not sure if anyone has done back to back tests also to compare differences on...

    Lars v's Standard Airbox

Arrow Headers, Leo Vince Slip-on, AIS Blocked, Standard Airbox (Previously LARS Airbox), K&N Filter, Longer Velocity Stacks (Factory Pro), Shaved Secondary Butterflies (CD), Reflashed ECU, PCV The bike only has 2600km's on it so it is still bedding in/tight

    Lars v's Standard Airbox

Well here it is folks! A back to back comparisson of the Lars airbox mod and the standard airbox. Dyno run was undertaken on same bike. The difference between the two dyno runs was swapping the airbox and the PCV map was retuned to acheive optimum A/F ratios for the changes. It was noted...
