Five years later, and Back From the Dead!
Can anyone help me out with a Retro tank or full Kit?
I recently dented my tank and am weighing my options repair vs replacement.
If someone has a full kit, I’d probably be interested in buying it.
Thanks!
I updated my stator rotor a couple of weeks ago. As mentioned in here recently, yes - it’s a fairly straightforward and simple thing to do. Most time consuming part of the job was cleaning off the old gasket.
Today, I received the Hel brake lines that I ordered a couple of weeks back. They...
Resurrecting an old thread, but I think y'all have answered a question for me. I just want to confirm ...
Are the turn signals usually all off, only lighting up when you activate the turn signals or hazards? Or, are any of them (front or rear) normally lit up solid when the blinkers are not...
The Abba is right at $700, while the Bursig is $609 (once you add in the cost of the 'bike specific' adapter plate). It looks like the plates run about $120 each.
The Abba seems like the better deal to me, since it allows more lifting configurations. Also, you can get the Pro Sky Lift package...
I added the OEM set to my 1190 ADV, and haven't had a single regret about it - and I'm farther south than you, down here in Pearland. I've probably used them a handful of times this season, but it has been nice to have them on those rare 'really cold' days.
Yeah, I should've said in my reply above that I had to add a Power Commander along with the slip-on - to deal with the aforementioned fueling issues.
Edit: So there's that to consider when pricing an exhaust as well, the added expense of the PC and any needed tuning/dyno time - if it won't run...
I replaced the stock can on my SV650S because I heard another SV with the same can, and liked the way it sounded. I didn't realize until the installation, how much heavier the stock can was. So, there was the weight savings and it sounded cool ... But at the end of the day it's not a race...
Soon, soon ... I still want to pull the mirror stalks and have them powder coated (they're pretty beat up after 47K miles), AND ... all that off roading did a number on the chain, so I'll need to grab a new D.I.D and sprockets.
Still, I'm gonna let the 1190 start earning her keep - time to put...
Ah well I tried, but Bahhh your PM box is full.

Got an estimate on shipping cost to me? What service would you use to ship?
Thanks in advance for your help.
