Does anyone know a source for Turn Signal Connectors stateside?

I'm looking to wire in a pair of pod lights on the front of my FZ1. I'd prefer not to cut any wires if possible. I found the three-wire connectors on Eastern Beaver (link), but $41 for two connectors ($20 minimum order + $21 shipping) is a bit steep. EB lists the list them as "3 Position NT-040" but searching for that doesn't turn up any good results.
 
OregonMotorcycleParts.com I emailed him, [email protected] and asked him for the connector I was looking for but he didn't have it.

I'm actually in the same boat as you and am going to pick up some used turn signals from Bob's Used Motorcycle Parts in Phoenix to cut them apart and then use the turn signal connectors from those.
 
If there are several of us who need similar connectors, I'd be willing to make a larger order and split the shipping. If ssky0078 needs a couple, I need a couple, and a few others, then we would be looking at $21 spread among a few people (plus a couple of bucks for USPS mail and some padded envelopes). I'm not sure if this would work out, but I'd be willing to coordinate. List your EB part numbers and quantities below and if there's enough interest, I'll coordinate things.
 
Is it possible to pull the wires out of the connector and re-use the metal tabs without damaging anything? I'd like to avoid splicing the wires together if possible, just for a clean install.

Possibly, but I am not sure how the connector is designed. You would need to know where to push down to get the blade to release from the housing.

Hey Clyde,

After looking at the OEM connectors with wires already running out the back, I think those would be better. It's a little more expensive but I think it would be a cleaner install because like someone pointed out, you would have to take the terminal out of the easter beaver plug and wire them. I personally don't have the crimping tool but I do have a friend with a soldering gun that could take wire ends and connect them.
 
I talked to Jon at CustomLED and he can pull the metal contacts out of the plastic connectors that Rabbitman linked, so I went ahead and ordered a set. Hopefully I won't FUBAR the contacts beyond further use. If they do end up botched, I'll go the solder or Posi-Lock route.

If this ends up working, I don't think I'll be ordering from Eastern Beaver after all.
 
Yeah, there's just a tiny amount of space from what it looks like. I'm replacing the stock signals, so it's only one wire for now. Good news is that the new terminals have shipped from CustomLED. The bad news is that Jon wasn't able to get the terminals out, so I might be splicing/soldering after all.
 
I ordered a collection of ends with extra inserts from Eastern Beaver and with an order just over $20 the shipping was under $8. I'm used to doing electrical on vehicles and hate splicing wires. Up here in the north the salt they use on the roads in winter always kill the wires in a splice. I have a collection of different tools for removing inserts from plugs and it always seems that I don't have the right one whenever I do a different job. Good luck on your job.:canada flag:
