Factory Warranty

Is $550 worth it for a 48-month extended warranty on a new 2009 FZ-1? I plan on riding the bike stock. I need to decide quickly. Thanks.

I didn't feel it was worth it and did not opt for any extended plan. Year three and still no issues that I would have used this on.

I wouldn't ever bother with warranty on a Japanese bike

The factory warranty should be fine. If there are any problems, it will likely be in the electronic stuff, and that is a big fear...but it should show itself (if at all), in that first year.

In saying that, I got an extended warranty, but I am quite a worry-wart when it comes to my baby! :ugh:

My 1999 Yamaha YZF600R I purchased new. Rode it for 35k miles over 11 years and nothing ever broke. I didn't even replace the brake fluid or fork oil on that one. lol
