Faulty speedo/dash

Hi all, just wondering if a faulty speedo/dash can stop bike my 07 fz1s from starting? Dash went out(only the lcd part) indicator and neutral lights work on dash only. Now bike won't start, just winds over?? Can the faulty dash really cause this?

Not too sure , is yours an s model ? Check the two wiring block connectors under the left fairing infill panel , been having dash problems my self and not starting as it should , those connections were the culprit

Thanks, will let you know how I go, I will need a new dash anyway so if I have no luck with checking the connectors and relays I will fit an new one! $$$$$$

Yes it will stop it starting. Our (Aussie) models have immobilisers and somehow that stops the bike unless the dash is connected. I found this out when putting a Gipro into my tach. I would check all connections down to under the tank before buying a new one $$$$$$. There was one on ebay last week used.
