FZ Related Bikes / Parts for Sale

Any plug caps/ wires on eBay or Amazon I’m new to 2001 fz1 and all bike parts sites are sold out and all the ones on eBay look like they are individual coils for the plugs.

I’m not familiar with anyone using newer style individual coil caps on a Gen 1. Not saying that’s what you're suggesting.

I see caltric after market Gen 1 coils (1/4) (2/3) but they don’t include caps. I think you’ll strugle trying to find a cap other than oem that gives a good seal at the top of the spark plug tunnel.

Here’s an inexpensive used set. There are other nicer used sets but in the end everything Gen 1 is old.

Did you get coils with the bike. The caps can be disassembled, cleaned of corrosion. The caps can be screwed tighter onto the wires. The wires are integral to oem coils

Yea that set is in my cart. And all oem sights are sold out. But I’ll try cleaning the ones I got as well thank you

I'm still here. I just don't know enough to comment on "stuff."

When I think I know enough about a topic I'll post, which isn't very often and even then I'm probably wrong.

Said in jest, to let you know I'm still here.

I guess i know a little as I have over 225,000 miles on 2 FZ1s.

225K+ on 2 FZ1s is great! What is the mileage breakdown per bike?

jwarden, thanks for the comment.

The first one had 96,xxx miles when I was broadsided by a deer and totaled by the insurance company. The bike was the faster blue color.

The second and still going has 135,xxx miles. It is the slower silver color. 😉

Sorry to junk up your post questions Hopfish.

I worry about those deer incidents! That is really great on the mileage!

Yes, sorry to hijack the thread...

So.. slowest to fastest: silver, blue, RED 😆

Looking for an aftermarket exhaust for an 07, anyone got experience with "Delkevic"?
They seem to still be manufacturing exhausts for older bikes but I haven't found any videos or reviews for the FZ1.

Might be wise to start new thread. I’m sure it’s subject near and dear to Gen 2 owners.

I know nothing of Gen 2s but Holeshot was always a good source back in the day I’m sure there are others

Holeshot has some great stuff. I had a slip on and timing advancer on my Gen 1 many years ago.

Unfortunately, Dale has had some health challenges, and I'm not sure they are open again. On the main page of their website is this message:

I would call first to see if they are open for business again. Great business and great people... I just hope things are going well and they will be up and running soon!
