Home made GoPro pole mount.

I see that there are several manufacturers of pole mounts for cameras. I wanted one, but did not like the cost. So, I made my own from stuff at the house.

The extendable pole I am using is from a floor cleaner. I had an extra suction cup mount and used the camera mount portion and mounted this to the end of the pole. I jammed a nut down into the end of the pole to allow me to tighten up the camera mount without crushing the thin wall aluminum tubing completely flat.

Yup.. no need to buy the special made one. I'm using an extendable pole from a mitt-on-a-stick (for washing cars) and a handlebar GoPro attachment.. no need to modify anything.

How do you plan to mount that to your bike or person?

I don't. I have other means for that. My wife will likely use it to capture some coastline video from the passenger seat.
