lowering handle bars

Just installed Rizoma 42mm risers and bars few weeks ago and really like the riding position, they sit 1'' lower and about 1'' longer on each end which gives you a sportier ride with better leaverage. Did trackday last thurs, the bars were awesome on track but still comfortable. I got them of RJs parts in the states he hooked me up. Easy to install just take your time drilling.

Derj, how did the stock bar fit? Any tank clearance problems?

I had to turn the stock bar down a little, but that actually felt better for me that way. And after tilting them down, I had about an inch clearance from the tank at full lock.

Here is a guy who put GSX650 risers on his FZ1 to lower the bars.

I lowered my FZ1 by 1.75" in back, 1.85 in the front. I'm considering a set of these to go on top of the triple tree clamp:

I hope I'd still be comfortable with them, but I think they'll look much better than stock. Hopefully I'd still have clearance enough for lock to lock.
