MCL Passenger Peg Extenders

Has anyone tried to put Motorcycle Larry's passenger peg extenders on their Gen 2 FZ1?

I looked at the ones for the FJR, but don't have any measurements for the FJR peg mounts (width and depth).

No and no one I know of.... as a matter of fact, I'm about to remove any possibility of a pillion on my FZ1.

I did not put these on my FJR when I had it, did not have a passenger very often.

They could potentially work (from looking at pics of the two bikes), but I'd be concerned about fitment with the stock exhaust. Doesn't seem to be enough room there...

I am running an Akrapovic can and the extender should be OK with it.

The only problem with the Vario adapters is that the pegs don't fold, the arm does. That means that with the passenger pegs folded up, they will be sticking out 2 1/2" and the peg ends up 4" or so from there.

OK,

Got them and all I had to do was drill the hole for the peg pivot pin to 8 mm and they bolted right on. I'll update after my wife and I get to hit the road soon.

The Wife likes them. Easier to get on the bike (lower) and more comfortable. A little more stress on the mount but I think it will be OK. No problems with my feet and hers.

Glad the wife never saw these. She took one look at the FZ while still in the dealer truck, and said, 'not riding on this one.'

I thought, to myself, thank you Lord.

The pass seat looked too high to her. But I think any pass peg that is lower would assist in the comfort zone. But our bike won't let a passenger get many miles before she'll have to bail with whatever pegs available. I suspect it'll be about go and stop all the time.
