I'll start a new thread to show updates on my 2001 Suzuki GSXR750 race bitch.

I just purchased a complete second hand but never used polyester race fairing set (black) for a price I could not let go..so next thing will be fitting and checking out for painting

first trackday 2013 @ Mettet

My first trackday for 2013 has been fun yesterday. It was a sunny day with a track in perfect condition. At first I rolled the track cautiously to find back my confidence and find the right position again...it took quite a few laps before I dared to open the trottle up again when exiting right turns...but late afternoon I was back !
Took my Hero2 cam onboard and filmed a few laps. Video and pics will be posted on this thread.
 
past weekend spend some time in my bike's garage and fitted the new fairing. As it was a brand new some fitting and measuring involved as still had the puncture some holes. Also bought a set of fastenerclips to fix the upper with the lowerbody. Some pics in the garage...Once finished I'll take her out for some better pictures
 
Finished

finished. Got my race bike setup with the new poly fairing set, and have painted/sanded/painted/sanded.../painted both the fueltank as the frontfender. When I placed the rear I thought it wise to also paint the undertray...not so much work crawled into that, just cleaned it well and gave it a few layers...looks better so, not?












I'm not putting any stickers or whatever on, as I'm trying to sell it off.
Although I have another couple of Trackdays booked this year, after this year I'll put my track ambitions with a racebike on hold. Time for something else..


I hope to get some good cash in return and hope to find myself a dual purpose bike, something like a WR450. Idea is to go more offroad/enduro and maybe get some rims with slicks and ride it as a supermoto on the track
 
Had another great track day at Mettet Belgium Jules Tacheny. Beautiful day 20°C and nice and sunny. In the morning I was asked to escort the novices and afternoon was some private time on the track.

Unfortunately I forgot both my action as my photo camera :-(
There was a local photographer taking again pictures alongside the track so I hope to get some good action shots of me and my gixxer in her new setting.

Speaking of the new setting: I forgot to use blue octite to secure my fairing bolts and I realized I've lost a few, but no worries al stayed in good place and the bike stayed again upright (at certain lean angles ofcourse :) )
