My new low cost cam

The camera is really small and pretty much sucks using it handheld because of the size.

The other thing about these cams is they have firmware that you can change and upload to the camera via a windows gui but it's still not an automated thing like with the gopro for example. You have to not be expecting the quality of a $300 camera to be happy with this $40 something one. It's great for what it is but takes some patience and time to figure out how to use it.

There's a lot of information about the keychain form factor on the rcgroups.com forum under aerial photography. This is the #18 one but from what I've read, the #16 is the best one. The #18 seems to be a knockoff of a knockoff (friends worked together but then went their own ways or something like that). I chose it because it was in a form factor I'm familiar with (I have mounts for) and the video quality seemed to be about the same as the #16.

The instructions suck. I don't even think they were written for the cam. Only the top button actually works. I haven't figured out how to get it into webcam mode (I didn't buy it for that) or to take photos with it (or that). It's a $40 camera with pretty good video quality but there are sacrifices made. it's not the upgrade of the D001/MD80 that I was hoping it would be but the video quality is acceptable so I won't gripe about it.

I can send you a link of a video I took of the dawgs with the cam clipped to my jacket/in my hand if you want to judge from that.

I would put the $$ in a quality branded one than fiddling and repeatedly buying these cheapo cams that don't have the proper mounting nor the quality and performance. I have 2 of those cheapo cams and I hate them ...

yeah, I also have an el cheapo cam, stopped using it two years ago, I just don't like the go pro boxy appearance but I guess this is the best on the market until something else comes up.

That's why I mentioned it. It's not worth the extra $$ to me for a quality branded one. I have no videography skillz :shame: so a more expensive camera would be useless in my hands.

I like the ability of putting multiple cams in different locations and have the time to figure out different mounting solutions--like how to put them on a tripod.

I chose to have several cheap cams over one branded cam
