Need your guys' opinion on these two bikes

So I'm looking at purchasing one of these two bikes but can't decide if they're good deals or if there's better out there.

2008 FZ1 (red/gold) $6,500. Full exhaust, power commander, k&n filter, crg levers, puig wind screen, FZ1 seat. 3,321mi



2007 FZ1 (Navy) $6,000. Akra slip on 3,800mi

both are in great/like-new shape, clean titles in hand. What do u guys think?

with all the add ons it seems good, but i would still try to talk it down a bit more maybe. but i don't think it's crazy or anything

Offer him 5800. See if he will eventually go down to 6K with it.

go check it out and if you're feeling risky, tell him you only have $6000 (or whatever amount you wanna spend) to spend and wave the cash in his face. more than likely he will sell it to you for that and be happy to move the bike. that is one method. many others as well

They are both great colors I say make the best deal on the color that appeals to you. You can put the same mods on the other bike for roughly the same price. To paint a bike the color you like will cost more. If color doesn't matter go with the 08. What full system does it have ?

The '08 would be my choice. NADAGuides lists the retail as $4,815 (Low) & $6,335 (High) so with all those mods, it might be the better choice.

Might is the key word... I'd also take a really detailed look at both bikes to see which was better maintained. Does one need tires? How's the chain and sprockets look? Brake pads? It might be that the '08 was thrashed and the '07 turns out to be the babied bike that needs less and is worth more to you up front. That being said, the '07 is over-priced and I'd get them closer to $5k

'08, you get a better base map on the ECU. See if you can get them down $500 to $750. Remember that mods don't add to the value of a bike as many people like a bone stock bike better.

As the others have suggested the '08 w/ those mods is the better deal. IMHO looks like both bikes are at least $500 overpriced. The '08 for $6k would be a decent deal.
