I have 15000 on the stock chain. Besides putting new sprockets on to change the gearing I've only had to adjust it once. I do clean and lube it about every 300 to 500 miles

I have a Supersprox on my KTM and just turned 30,000 km on the bike. The previous owner did not tell me at what mileage he installed it, but the bike had 16,000 km when I bought it and it looked new. The DID chain and Supersprox still look near perfect after 14,000+ km of hard, dirty use. I do clean them with Kerosene, let dry, warm with a short ride then lube with Bel Ray after each wash or off-road ride. Time consuming but worth while.

The orange one would look nice on the 990 though.
 
I've just fitted a RK chain and sprocket kit after putting 50,000k on the original(31,000 miles).

It also has a 20,000 mile warranty on it, should be interesting.
