Thats a beauty Eric. Looks like a 3" wheel to me from looking at the picture. That will more than suffice. As for the other tool, I'm making the call as soon as I hit the "submit" button on this post. I'm sure that Tony will be fine. The showers supposedly will be spotty at best.
I've seen them done with a hammer before!![]()
Thats what Ray told me. He uses a nail punch and hammer with the chain laying on it's side. He said with the rear tire off the bike, there is enough slack to get the chain to lay on it's side. We'll see, I hate to be banging on a brand new chain if the clamp works. I know that either way, we will have a bunch of competent guys up there to make this an easy job!
I have an alternative plan that can work too.It involves a hoist and a vise. We'll make it happen!
I looked at the RK and Motion Pro kits. Seems their kits are small C type clamps just with different tips to either press fit or pop the rivets. Expensive kits too! But I will end up with one.
By the next time anyone needs this work, I should have that, the bearing race puller and most (if not all) stuff to change tires. There won't be much need to pack anything outside of the parts.![]()
Well as for the bearing race puller, I am leaving that with you. I won't take NO for an answer either. You will probably use it more than I. I'm not going back home with that 35lb. hunk of stuff in my backpack again! You have way more wrenching parties than I ever will. :flash:
Ok. I can deal with that.It will be the forum tool as you suggested if anyone wants to use it!
BTW, is it ONLY tuna or any seafoods?![]()
Thanks Eric. Just tuna is fine. I'm not much of a seafood guy. Not to mention that I have a flippin' infection in my gum on the left side that of course just started acting up again this morning. I hope my helmet fits for the ride up. Don't worry, I am fine and am going to the dentist the coming week to get it looked at. In the meantime, I'm sure there's a ton of "baby food" in the house after the birth of the baby! Either that or I will have to go with liquids only.... LOL!
