Troubles
I decided to tackle this project today and ran into an issue. I have only done it on the left side, but when I plug a bulb into the 194 socket, my turn signals will not operate. I bought an led bulbs off of ebay and tried rotating it in case there was polarity to it and it didn't help. I also changed from stock to an led turn signal relay and it didn't effect the issue. I went black to blue, and brown to brown because that is what the first post said for left side. In case it matters, my bike has the copperdawg pods front and rear.
Small update:
I noticed that the left side blinker indicator is solid on also when a bulb is installed. I also put an old incandescent bulb into the 194 socket and it gave a very weak glow while preventing my main blinker from operating. I know a way I could get this mod to work, but it would require an extra relay on each side. It seems others have been able to get this mod to work by just splicing into the wires, so I do not know what the problem is.
