Well, here it is. 2nd Annual West Texas Hill country trip!

Ride Dates: April 15th - 18th

The Three Sisters are several connected highways that combine 'twisties' and major elevation changes with West Texas rocky hill country: Our own lil' "Tail of the Rattlesnake", with sheer rocky drop-offs, narrow "mountain" passes, and beautiful have-to-stop vistas. Some parts are very challenging to riding and to the senses.

We'll be riding Friday from Houston with friends, meeting up at Canyon Lake with some others, and heading out West to the Twisted Sisters for a couple of loops on Saturday; staying in the local area that night (arrangements made, see below). Running a different reverse course back to Canyon Lake on Sunday, and back to Houston on Monday.

This is NOT a race. We are out to have a good safe ride, see the sights, ride at your own pace how you like. There are usually many other bikers out there who may need to be passed, only if you want to do so and it's safe please. If riders get separated, we will re-group at intersections, rest-stops, scenic stops.

$75 a night for the small cabins - sleeps 4
$150 for the cabin that "sleeps 8" but there are only 4 beds!!! LOL
"My other hand is between 2 pillows" :)

River Havens sounds like a good deal - 68.75/person for 4 bedroom cabin. And Frio Canyon Lodge - pretty close.

Frio Springs looks awesome with a hut tub for $67 each person - but they require two nights' stay :)confused:) so they're OUT!

River Haven sounds like the best all-around deal to me. :deal:

That is great and gives us a reason to run 337 twice in the same day! I liked 337 the best of the three.

Might be a good idea to get everyone's emergency contact info as well. Jeff, I think you have my number and my wife's number.
 
Good idea Brad. I'll collect and distribute for everyone. Please PM full names, cell phone, emergency contact info. I will pm back the home base address at canyon lake.

Please let me know if you would like to stay at the house at Canyon Lake: You may want to bring a bedroll as there are a limited number of non-floor sleeping surfaces so I need to know how many to expect.
