Stock Rear Shock Colors?

Dear FZ1 Forum,

I am new to this forum. So if I do not follow the correct mores, please forgive me. :bowdown:

Recently I bought a very nice 2010 FZ1 with only 13.000km on the clock. It is a wonderful machine.

I'm having trouble figuring out wether I have a stock rear shock spring or an aftermarkt spring. (I know that the shock absorber cartridge is stock)

Usualy I see that the stock spings are grey. Mine is bright red without any markings or writing.

My question is: What color is the stock rear spring of a 2010 FZ1?

Is the FZ1 sold with a red spring? :dontknow:

Does anybody know what this red spring is?

I think it varies. My 2012 came stock with a red spring. And my buddies 2010 came stock with a silver spring.

If there are no markings on it. Chances are it’s stock.

Then it is probably stock

Do you (or anybody who reads this) know if there is a difference in spring load and charictaristics between the stock silver/grey and he stock red? Or is is just a flashy color?

I rode both and couldn’t tell a difference. Upgrade to the r1 shock anyway. The stocker is rubbish
