Just trying to track down the history of the bike is all.

I guess I should say I am getting the bike aswell but it will not be staying in that condition for long...

I will keep it updated on the progress.

First thing to fix is cluster bracket and a real headlight...re-wrap the seat too. I know this bike most of you will hate but I like the style and direction they were going so to bad for you.

Does any one recognize this Street fighter?

I think it's cool. I use my bike for long rides, so not practical for me, but if I was just ripping around town showing off I'd ride it.

Yea it will be my daily and fun bike for sure.

I don't ride super long distances so it's perfect for me. I have been riding almost 5 years now and started on a 250 and worked my way up.

This is what I drive in the hurricanes...(on left) it's pretty fun....

I wish I could remember, there was somebody on either here or the other Fz1 forum that had a bike setup that looked similar to that but not as dirty (or is that just a bad pic). If I see it again I'll message you.

Is that a turbo on your c5?

I like that solstice as well. Too bad we lost that car when Pontiac and Saturn went away. I really liked the Sky as well, cool little roadsters.

As for the bike, I have not seen it before, but I have only been around this community for a year n a half.

I think it was a shame that the Solstice and Sky weren't actually good cars and a double shame they killed the companies selling them. It was nice to see a real sports car from GM, something that could get people out of their SUVs and trucks and re-spark the love of driving that America was famous for

Nice C5

weren't??? was that a typo or is that sentence not supposed to make any sense?

:rmwl:

if that rat bike was done properly it'd be sweet. i'd definitely do something to the rear subframe spikes to make them not spikes, so as not to impale you or your ass. also, it needs a can, just taking off the muffler will make it run worse and sound like poo too

Over 500, never been on the dyno but she does just fine on the street.

Every one know a bike is never finished so I am not scared of this one. I think it's 50% done how I want it.

500 at the crank or wheels? How did you estimate those numbers if you have not put her on the Dyno?

I look forward to seeing what you do with the bike.

By every single other person who is running the same exact setup. I don't need to put it on the dyno to tell me it's over 500. Only time it will go back onto a dyno is when I feel like throwing some money away to print out a pretty sheet to tell me some numbers. Never really cared how much it made just that it wasn't last.:nono:

500 to the wheels, I am running a 3.25 pulley and making 11 psi by 5500 RPM.

I guees this can turn into my build thread.

I got the bike this week. I promptly pulled it apart. There were multiple things wrong I am slowly addressing.

1 lots of missing hose clamps
2 Lots of bad vacuum lines
3 RTV ... lot's
4 Regulator not grounded
5 electrical tape patch on the boot...
6 The bad head stud had been hellicoiled in the past..
7 evidently no idea what a torque wrench was...
8 No idea I stopped caring

But good news was the bottom end was indeed new with great honing and new pistons!

I have a new head stud and head gasket on the way with new plug caps. All lines will be replaced and clamped. I will be going with a Big Sert to repair the head

I will get some bike porn

HAHAHHAA i love that 8 was it for ya. it's ok, you knew it going in it'd be a project. should be slick once done. too bad people didn't just do stuff right to begin with but hey that's half your "fun" right? good luck and keep us posted
