Throttle locks and cruise control

ok sorry I didn't get back on here last night, but here is how I set up my Vista Cruise. I didn't want the bracket and arms going across everything, I was looking for simplistic.

As you can see, it doesn't take up much throttle space, I didn't notice the change at all


I just took a small price of aluminum and bent it to match how the throttle was shaped and into the notch for the lock









I love it and I don't think I would use any other kind. Reason is because its clean and simple, and extremely easy to operate. I use it all the time, even on my short 2 mile commute to work. Im just lazy I guess :D

Ah, that is the less expensive one and not the one that BDazzler and I were referring to. That one does clamp onto the grip and this one clamps the throttle tube.
 
How did you adapt it ?

Its the 2 cable style, but it doesnt quite match up with the Yamaha throttle. That zip tie has been there for over 40K miles with no issues. And less than $20.

I'm using the Go Cruise Throttle Lock. It was only $20 and has worked well for me on multiple trips of up to 1500 miles. It doesn't 'lock' the throttle like some of the other (better) choices do, but it provides enough hand relief for me. I just noticed that they have a new model out that is aluminum. I am using the original plastic version.

Oh, and when I said 1500 miles ... I meant one way, straight through, in 22 hours.

EDIT: And I meant to add that it really won't hold a steady speed on it's own, but rather it kind of takes the effort out of you holding a certain speed. It's hard to explain, but think of it like this - Instead of having to twist and hold the throttle, you only have to hold the throttle. Now just a little hand pressure will maintain your speed. And like the others mentioned here, you just roll off if you want to reduce your speed.
