Tunnel of Trees

I finally got a chance to get back to M119 to ride the Tunnel of Trees yesterday. Thankfully the wind was out of the south so I was getting a warm breeze rether than the cold that usually comes off Lake Michigan. This ride parallels Lake Michigan for about 20 miles and if the breeze is coming off the lake it's usually pretty cold so I lucked out. In a few spots I turned my head towards the lake so you could get a glimpse of it. This ride is very tight, the road is narrow, there can be a lot of sand and leaves and an occasional 40 foot motorhome coming along, using your lane so it's very wise to take it easy and enjoy the ride. I was pretty much in the 45 to 55 MPH area. I split it into two video's Enjoyhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-HLz8MTqBc&feature=channel_page

Nice ride. You are not kidding about being narrow. That is a wide one lane road. Beautiful. One of those ones that are best done like you did it. Ride nice and easy and enjoy what God has made.

Thanks for the videos.

Very nice!

My wife and I are riding to Michigan to visit an old Army buddy in the beginning of September. Unfortunately, he lives in the part of the state where every road is miles long straight! Smiths Creek... So we're thinking of trading a timeshare week for something up near Traverse City. Would that area be worth bringing a couple of sportbikes?

Thanks!!

One small :poke: at ya though.... when you passed the car? What's the one word you hear at the BRC constantly?

Headcheck, headcheck HEADCHECK! ;) Sorry, had to thow a punch for fun. :scared:
