2007 Ninja 250R For Sale!

Sad to hear but I can totally understand why Richie made that decision. So, this going into a "fund" for his new ride in two years? Something I suspect will grow between now and then for a bigger bike? ;)

Yeah, he will definitely be looking for maybe a 600 or 650. Either a Yamaha or Suzuki SV650 should fit him good. I'll probably just pick up a set of 016's for the trip and yes, put the rest into a "Bike Fund".

Well, the bike was sold today to a new owner. Hopefully he will get to enjoy it as much as Richie did. The sale went off without a hitch so I was happy about that but sad to see it pull away on the back of his pick-up truck. Oh well, time to start my two year quest to find a sweet bike for him for his 18th birthday. Don't worry as Richie is okay with the sale and is no longer to bummed about it. He'll be back! So time to end this thread. Thanks for all the well wishes guys. We really appreciate all the sympathy from my extended family!

Summer is the right time to sell bikes. It appears to have sold quickly. From the pictures you have posted, the bike was in very good condition, so you have passed on a great bike to someone, bittersweet end to this bike for you. Good luck with your waiting....Tom Petty says its the hardest part :)

Thanks Cos! Yeah, this was definitely the fastest I've ever sold a bike in my life for sure, and the most pain free. From listening to the guy on the phone I was very leary but after meeting him he turned out okay and was a pretty cool guy who was about excited as a 5 year old at Christmas. I was kind of happy for him because I remember getting my first bike and also the look on my son's face when he first saw the bike when I brought it home for him. I guess its a "guy thing". Women get that way with diamonds and clothing, and we have our toys as well. Thanks again!

Wow that sold fast Billy! Well as sad as it made you now Richie has something else to look forward to in a couple of years. I see a YZF600 in his future ;)

Grats Billy! Glad t was easy.

Thanks Guys. I couldn't believe it myself. Aside from my scooter, this was actually the second bike ever that I actually sold for much more than I bought it for. I was happy about that as well. I gave Richie some cold cash to stash away for a rainy day.

Let me know if you are ever in the market for another son.

It was the least I could do to calm the pain of losing something he really enjoyed. The way he holds onto money, he'll probably still have it when the new bike arrives. This kid stashes away every penny. He always seems to have more dough in his pockets than his dad.
