I get no popping but some backfires on deceleration at 5000 rpm. I didnt like the popping with the AIS after fitting my GYTR slipon and used the factory YEC R1 racing plug set to do my AIS blockoff.

Hi SVD, those co adjustments are the factory settings for mixture (rich and lean) only at idle rpm. If you change them the bigger the number the richer your idle mixture, smaller is leanner. All must be changed up or down the some amount. If your motor runs smooth at idle they dont need changing...
Hi NJFZ1, Yes to fit the 4 ground steel dowel pins the cam cover must be removed. I got the kit cheap from my friend who worked at Yamaha New Zealand but half way fitting it I found the cam cover must be removed and by then I was in to deep to turn back.
Am I the only one in the world that that has done mod at home to there FZ1 gen 2. My favourite Yamaha shop here in Auckland told me Im the only one in NZ that has done this. It is a big job.
