    lower risers

Yes... Drilling out the ignition bolts wasn't too bad but the rubber/metal sleeves where the risers mount were impossible to press out. I ended up just leaving them in for powder coating, then cutting them out and pressed in new ones. Turned out well, but yes, it was a real PITA.:disturbed

    lower risers

I can only speak for myself, but here are my justifications in choosing an FZ1: - Cheaper than an R1 - Easier to swap out lower OR higher handlebars (depending on mood) than an R1 - WAY CHEAPER insuranceand maybe the most important one: - My wife likes it better than the R1 :p

    lower risers

Suzuki GZ250 risers are 2" lower than the stock risers and can be found cheap - there's a set on EBay right now for $21. Here are mine (also bought from EBay): After powdering:

Only reference I could find in my service manual is, "The fuel pump delivers fuel to the fuel injector via the fuel filter." :wtf:

    Top Saddlery seats!

No, it's softer... It should be since they still use at least part the stock foam as the base and add then add to it. I know my new seat (gel insert with SEL085/SEL003) is softer than the original and MUCH softer than Corbin. The texture in the SEL003 feels thicker than stock, but it's a...

    Top Saddlery seats!

I had doubts on the gold piping at first, too until I looked as some of their seats for Goldwings and (go figure) found an actual picture with the gold stitching and piping - that sould it for me.

    Top Saddlery seats!

I had also considered using the SEL003 at first on the bigger sections, but I'm glad I didn't - the only way I can describe it is it feels more "thick" than the stock seat covers. It's great for trim, but the SEL085 is definately more "seude" and just seems to fit better.

    Top Saddlery seats!

Rizoma standard bars but the risers were from a Suzuki GX250. They were the lowest ones I could find... I've never riden on the Yamaha gel seat to compare, but I put over a hundred miles on the new seats today and felt great. Yup... I've been slacking lately, but I'll order some gear...

    Top Saddlery seats!

I ordered on 08/27/10, shipped out my stock seats on 08/29/10, and recieved the new seats today (09/17/10). They were a little slow on email responses, but I did get a responses after about a day or two.

    Russell/Yamaha Brake Line Install

After a few misses, I decided to go with HEL lines. Funny thing, the first of lines they sent were too long up front and had the wrong bend angles on the back line. But the guys at HEL (USA) were fantastic and made me a custom set exactly to my measurements... A little pricey, but great...

    MIVV Suono

Thanks! The Corbin seats aren't too bad - better than stock, but I would have liked them a little softer. I ordered them direct from Corbin, mainly because I wanted the rear backrest for my wife. But even after 4,000 miles, they still seem a little hard after a full day of riding. Pricey...

    MIVV Suono

The install itself is really straight forward and only took about 10 minutes once I had all the old stuff done. It really is a clean install. The other stuff does take some time - I had already gutted the cat a few months ago - easy enough but plan a little time with a long drill bit, hammer...
