In may my buddy and I road to mountain view Ark. from Fortworth spent four days ridin various loops we planned around the Ozarks. It was awesome had great time. The 09' fizzer performed flawlessly. Soft bags and a tank bag. Once there took em off and I could enjoy her in the twisties. Great bike.
I have a 2009 FZ1 bought new 2010. At 9k miles I drained the factory coolant from the radiator drain bolt and the lowest hose on what looks like the water pump housing located lower right front of engine (when sitting on bike). I didnt flush it, just filled up with maxima coolanol. Started the...
I have the carbon fiber MIVV Suono on my 09 for about 3 months now. I like it, the db killer is in place. Doesnt seem to loud to me. What i didnt like was the cost, but im all better now looks good with the cobalt blue.
I just bought a set of cortech bags for my 09. I have a competition works f.e. and the bags hide my turn signals somewhat. I was lookin into mounting a 1 inch wide by .125 thick, about 13" long across the middle with a 2" 90 degree bend leg at each end and mount it to the bottom two holes of my...
I got the carbon suono for my 2009 cobalt blue fizzer a month or so ago. It is awesome. Too dear in price IMO, but I got it anyway. Youve got a killer machine in the works!
I am your same height and I lowered mine 2" in the rear and 1.75" in the front. I have a soupys adjustable on right now but, have recently ordered a 2" solid link from cycleoneoff. The adjustable is nice because you can set it right where you need it. Geno's thread made up my mind to go solid...
I have a 2009 FZ1 bought new about a year ago. The pads rattled in the calipers from day one. Going slow over bumps you can really hear them. You can move them in the calipers by hand they just jiggle a little. Ive since added ss brake lines and new fluid, no change. Figure its normal.
The shock sounds like a very good idea. How do you like your Mivv? Do you have the carbon, Ti or stainless? I am saving for the suono. I have a 09 cobalt blue FZ1. I have no other engine performance mods yet.
I have to agree with mrsfz1. Im 5'3" on a 09 and i lowered mine 2" using soupys lowering link, i can just touch the balls of my feet. However i've known other experienced short riders who are comfortable with one foot down.
levers and grips
I personally like the factory levers but not the grips so much. My son bought me some standard length vortex levers and pro grip grips. I have to say i really like them. The grips are comfy and "grippy":rmwl: and the levers are adjustable, work good and also look very coool...
