Awesome project! Looks great.
I hope I'm not hi-jacking, but I wanted to ad my resto:
It's a '76 RD400. Unfortunately, I don't have any before shots, but it was painted blue with a brush, and it had an old school cafe fairing with a blue tint windscreen and blue foam grips. It was absolutely hideous and the motor seized the 1st time I rode it.
I found '77 body work in really good shape on ebay and as luck would have it, there was a Yamaha Factory 2 stroke mechanic living near me, So he did all the motorwork (for next to nothing). He's actually just finishing my brother's '79 RD400 Daytona Special right now.
Anyway, sorry for the hi-jack....great work!
