2017 MotoGP Discussion Thread *SPOILERS*

Talk about being "way up here" and then "dejected" all in the same breath!!! Vale was surely banging his head on the wall after that race. I guess though if your not hanging it all out, your not winning. Still a bummer.

Interesting read on the changes to the track.

This article linked in the one you posted also has some video.

I wish articles like this showed a track map of what it used to be and what it is now, that would be very helpful to me.
This map of the track looks to be the F1 configuration without the new chicane.

there is a map of it on niel Morrison's article, right under the video

MotoGP News - Riders on new Catalunya chicane: ?It?s not MotoGP level?

also Rossi had a motocross accident

At this point, the precise extent of Rossi's injuries are unclear. GPOne are reporting that doctors initially suspected a fractured rib, then a possible shoulder injury. Rossi is due to have a scan in the morning, which should reveal more. Rimini Today reported (link is external) that Rossi was also being examined for a light head injury, though this was not a cause for concern.

It is unknown at this moment whether he will be fit for Mugello or not.

I hope it isn't too serious.
EDIT

Looks to be OK.

MotoGP Preview of the Italian GP

As a side note: it sounds like Rossi was deemed fit to race

"VR46 fans from all over the world can breathe a sigh of relief, knowing that FIM medical director, Dr Giancarlo Di Filippo, the chief medical officer of the Mugello circuit, Dr Remo Barbagli and the MotoGP medical director, Dr Angel Charte have found Rossi to be in a suitable condition to take part in his home grand prix, starting with tomorrow's free practice sessions,"

The fans wouldn't turn out if he wasn't there. I wonder if he will make it to the grid on Sunday. Reading accounts on MotoMatters, he is in a bad way. I see painkillers in his future!

Three great races last night. Glad to see Dovi on the top step and Petrucci on the podium. 5 Ducatis in the top 10! Shame about Pedrosa and Crutchlow. I don't know if that new (old) front tire is going to suite Pedrosa's riding style.

Moto 3 - Wow what a race!
Moto 2 finally had some spice.

Best race of the year for MotoGP so far. That was thrilling. So happy for Petrucci, Dovi and Ducati in general. Awesome result.

Neil Hodgson said 'best race he's ever seen' regarding the Moto3 so I'm going to sit down with some lunch and watch that now. Hope I don't have a heart attack or something; the MotoGP already had me riled up.
