FZ1 Riders Show us your baby!!

Bet y'all have never seen a red FZ1 with gold wheels and forks before. :D

It has around 48K on it now and a couple spots show some wear and tear. Someday I want to take it apart and paint it but I haven't quite figured out a color yet. Maybe just freshen up the red with a deeper more metallic shade or something to make it a little unique. I also like the metallic burnt orange that I've seen on some late model cars. That might look cool and be different. Or there's always basic black, never gets old.

Maybe my favorite part of the bike.

My 2010. I'm the third owner. When new, it looked just like the Red one a few posts above with the gold forks and wheels. The second owner changed the bodywork out to the Retro kit and added the BST wheels, Brembo brake system, Traxxion Dynamics massaged R1 forks and Penske shock. along with a bunch of carbon fiber and Rizoma bits. The ECU is Ivanized, has Graves velocity stacks, full Yosh ceramic coated exhaust, modded airbox, & K&N filter. I've added a SpeedoHealer, a Gear Indicator, and CopperDawg Screen and Belly Pan.
This is my third FZ1. Had a 2001 for 17 years, then a 2015 briefly. Found this one and jumped on it. It's my "halo" bike.
And no, not for sale. 😊

IMG_3212.webpNew to the crotch rocket game. Been in the cruiser and ADV world for years. Loving this thing!
Picked up this 07 with 3k miles on it from the first owner/buddy. He only rode it 2-up and had the suspension adjusted accordingly (which works out for my 270 butt just fine. Lol. A little stiff, but I’m told that’s better for handling anyways). Did some work to it but almos done.
I think she’ll be seeing many more miles on the back half of her life than the first! 🙂

BTW, bar end mirrors are gone and factory ones are back. Didn’t like that look.IMG_3205.webp

hey ! The fairings look sick !! where did you get them, if dont mind me asking ? I have an 07 =)

2001 FZ1. I added 4 coats of clear with some violet pearl on the first of 4 coats, over the carbon fiber too. Corbin carbon seat, Ivans jet kit, Yoshi slip-on. I had a construction fall 13 years ago and parked my bike win my folks garage with a cotton sheet over it. Whenever I visit them (I live in Alaska, they live in washington) I was afraid to look under the sheet to see a dent or whatever. Well I retired two years ago and feeling pretty good after all my surgeries, Im thinking I want to ride again!. Well bike has sat for 12 years with stability in gas tank.

Drain tank, new gas with seafoam, drain carbs, swish around, more gas, swish, drain. Did this 3 times. New battery and she fired up. New tires, new stainless brake lines and pads, all new fluids. I put 5,100 miles on it that summer FELT AWESOME!!!!!! There is a gurgle in the carbs who I start out. Contacted Ivan he says he guarantee that my primary are plugged from sitting so long. I went to several bike shops in the Everett washington are, NO ONE WANTS TO TOUCH CARBS. So Ive been studying and watching so many YouTube vids and thank the good Lord for Pats FZ1 page, that guy is a total awesome web sight , I don't know what Id do without that site. Looking forward to summer riding after my clean and sync on the bike. 21,500 miles on it

Purple in my opinion is the hardest vehicle color to get right, and that's perfection. So again, terrific work..

I have three black bikes, maybe it's time I start using some pearls, lol
