How much $$$ have you "invested or spent" in your bike???

I currently have over 40+ mods and additions to my '01 FZ thanks to Billy !! He did (and paid for) most of the mods, additions, and enhancements to it before I bought it. :wow:

Since purchasing it I have added:

T-Rex Racing Sliders 2ea. per side $65.00 shipped
Zero Gravity DB Dark-Smoke w/new alum.
fasteners $84.00 shipped
Low beam isolation switch $6.50 shipped
Passenger pegs removed $0.00
Custom LED strobing brake lights $104.00 shipped
15T Renthal sprocket $29.95 shipped
Additional MONSTER GRAPHICS
and misc. DECALS $120.00 shipped
SpeedoDRD $89.00 shipped

______________

So, I have added $595.01

to an already heavily modified motorcycle.
But, hey, we have to make them our own , , , , , , right ? heh,heh :poke:

The salesman from the Yamaha dealer where I bought it once told me , "you must have the biggest money FZ in the city" I don't doubt that, now someone else has.

I still have all the bills, I just don't want to know.:disapproval:

The price was right compared to the UK supplier of Ivan's part's. When I called to order the parts(from US) I spoke with Gina, who was very kind to me, because otherwise I would have payed almost x1.5 times the price of the FCE and Sub throttle plates from the UK and I would have payed 2 times the tax and shipping on them.

The tax in my Country is 5% on the total value of the merchandise + 23% of VAT on the total price, which comes at a 28% of the total value I pay for all the Motorcycle parts, but some parts are even cheaper that way than to buy them directly from a supplier in Croatia.

this is one way for me to get the upgrades, or I must wait for the Verona Bike Expo every year in January to buy the parts that I need at a really cheap price. This year I bought an one piece leather suit and boots for 700 euros both, and just after 30 min. I came to a official Ohlins seller, I asked the price for the rear shock and I was thinking that is a joke when the guy told me the price for the Ohlins rear shock for the Yamaha Fz1 was 600 Euros :jaw drop::jaw drop: this would be 793 US dollars, unfortunately I didn't have anymore money or I would buy it immediatly since the normal price is around 1000 Euros (approx 1300 US dollars).....Maybe next year I'll be more lucky!!!

Well at least now I can prove to my girlfriend that I didn't spend that much on my bike since there are a couple of you out there ready for the HALL OF FAME!!!!:rofl::rofl:

An there are still some record breakers who didn't post their "investments"!!!! :D

I picked up my '09 last Monday. It's already got all Ivan's mods done to it by the previous owner, but it's stock cosmetically (except for frame sliders). In the last few days, I've ordered the following...

Corbin seat (front/rear) off Craigslist: $175
SW-Motech engine guards: $189
Motivation fork and axle sliders: $130
Conti Motion tires: $175

Think I am 4k EUR into my bike. For all the mods. The suspension, slip-on and the new topcase took up most of that.

I refuse to play on the basis that...

That is the most important thing....If you have spend xy sum of money and you are satisfied than it was really worth it!

Well I started keeping track of the money spent on the FZ1 and then I got scared so I stopped...I'd rather not give it too much though and just enjoy the bike, but at this point if I'd have to guess I have spent at least $3k (in addition to the price of the bike of course). As for the YZF1000...well she's affectionately know as "The Money Pit"...lol

07 Fz1 bill

Total, about $1500. That includes Fz1n conversion, LeoVince GP pipe, CRG arrow mirrors, chain, smaller sprocket. I do love having a bike that is allllll mine the way I want it!
