Progression of Lunacy....a pictorial documentary and random discussion

A bit late, but one shot from the phone because i did not have a decent camera. I rode about 25 miles and the only problems were two leaks on the radiator from clamps that did not get tighten all of the way.

I go back down this week to finish moving and it is my hopes to have the bike up here upon my return.

Thanks all for the comments. I tooled around a bit after assembly and cannot believe I went as long as I did without riding. Granted, I've had other things to keep me busy and things are progressing along rather nicely.

We have decided to make the move full time up here to Cebolla, NM. Cooler weather, lots of outdoor activities, and lots of fun mountain roads just 12 miles away.

I've still have some bells and whistles to install, but the only wrenching I want to be doing for right now is on the throttle. So I'm still not done, but at least I can ride again. Now the only problem I have to contend with is getting the bike back up here.....

Ok, back for the final push on emptying the house, but i had to take a quick little spin this evening and have a couple of troubleshooting questions.

I need to preform a carb sync and adjust the tps sensor, but does any of that have any bearing on the screw that can adjust the idle? I can spin mine, but it does not seem to do anything in either direction.

When i fired everything up for the first time, both low beams would not work. This evening, the left side came on, but the right does not work. Both high beams work.

Fried bulb, or any other avenues?

Btw, my only regret is that i did not install the jet kit sooner, :wow:!

Sounds like something is not right with your idle screw. Regardless of the TPS or synchronization turning the screw clockwise should raise the idle speed.

Sounds like the filament in the bulbs are bad. If the bulbs got banged around while you had it all apart the filaments probably broke...just replace both of them and be done.

Thankfully, i have another set of carbs to study before I decide to remove. Although i feel itll go faster this time around when i do decide to yank'em.

:wow: thanks for the depressing reminder that it has been three months and still bikeless. I was suppose to have my barn built by this time, but it does not come till the end of next week. Cool thing is, when I get it up here, ill have a nice shop with lifts and all to sort out the final details. Ive made connections with a shop in Chama and will switch out some carpentry labor for use of his shop. There is also a painter up the road so who knows what is going to happen.

I'm going to push for 10k next year and I'm going to enjoy every minute of it too.

I am loving this build, the frame came out great. I have an 02 Silver and was thinking about painting the frame black as well. But now I think I might leave it alone and just paint the plastics a matte black and see how it looks at that point.

I already painted the rear plastic and like how it looks so far.

*sniff* *sniff*....

Sucks coming to town knowing that it is not to pick up the bike.
