My cheapo bar-end mirrors came yesterday, so I installed them and took the bike for a spin. I like the way they look, and I love the visibility. Good-bye blind spot directly behind me! I'm going to leave the stock mirrors on for a few days to verify that I want to keep the bar-ends.

A question for those of you who have already done this:
Does the "insert" go all the way into the threaded end of the handle bar? I noticed about a 1/4 inch lip at the end of the bar and only inserted the "sleeve" that far for fear of messing up the inside threads (where the stock bar-end weights threaded in). This leaves a little bit of the insert showing between the end of the handle bar and the mirror support.

Sent my ECU to DynoTronics for a reflash, The fuel cut was really the only thing I didn't like about my bike. On decel it is like applying the brakes ever so lightly, Very annoying to me. It seems to be right at the speed I am cruising around town in (4000-5000 rpm). Sounded like the ECU reflash was the way to go from what I have read. Can't wait to get it back... : -)

Today's menu:

LSL sliders (blue, as all things FZ1 were meant to be)
Proton flushmounts front and rear.
Remove radiator covers (I hate them so much. I may spray them black and re-attach them, but the silver plastic makes me want to throw up in my mouth a little)

My chief mechanic inspects the rear flushmounts for installation quality. He's a stickler for safety.

Still to do: trim bar-ends on convertibars and find some blue end weights.
R1 master cylinder/reservoir
Braided brake lines

Buying complete braided line kit with new pads all around, yosh rs1 stainless slip on, and givi racks in the near future from the same guy. She will be road worthy again soon!
