What did you do to your FZ today?

All done, faced the end, drilled and tapped, Installed on the bike and set up PCV settings. The weather today is for squals, rain and thunderstorms, so I will have to wait before I can go for a test ride.

When I screwed it back together, my measurements were bang on - 230mm eye to eye, same as I had before.

Pics below.

Treat it mean esp 1st to 2nd full throttle missed shifts are not good but it will shift smoothest the harder you treat it.

Rode it to work this morning. Yep this quick shifter could definitely get me into trouble....... Way too easy to shift, just need to think about it and then go, that was fun, let's do another, before you know it you are well over the limit......

Looks good

So, it was just a straight swap.?

Hi LL,

Pretty much a straight swap. I have to make a bracket for the front brake line splitter to take the tension off of the reservoir line. When i make a bracket and finish the mount i will post. I may even get braided brake lines yet.
Trimmed about 20 mm off each end of the bars to take tension off the cables and wiring ect.

Had a good test ride on Wednesday night and it feels very comfortable.

increased visibility by adding a rear led light onto my rear hugger.

I definitely think red would be the best colour. I'd be concerned that the blue LED will dazzle traffic behind and they will either not see the brake lights clearly or have a difficult time judging what it is they're looking at. Red is the standard colour for the rear of a vehicle and we have been trained to look for patterns & colours like that.

While a friend took my daughter to the movies with his kid, I took the chance tgo get a quick 1 hour squirt through the hills in. I am pretty happy it only takes me 10 minutes to get into the hills on days like this! It gave me a chance to test the new 3G gps tracker I replaced the old 2G tracker with. Pretty happy so far.

That's sweet Eric! Enjoy the ride to work and back. Maybe take the long way???

I do take the back roads to get to and from work. Too bad work isn't on the other side of Austin next to the hills! Yeah, we've had one minor cold snap but since then, 70's and 80's. My only issue with riding now is I don't most days. I work from home 90% of the time now so there's no need get the bike out. After one very busy fall, we finally have no plans on weekends and can get out and ride again. Michele has to get that BMW broken in!
