Sadly, I've been out this year... but since I never went the FZ1 route, just hop in on occasion here...

can't stress enough... proper gear, gear and gear...
Rabbit got out of the business... was taking way too much of his time and a few rude customers, wasn't worth it. I haven't seen him on any of the forums for a while, he's been busy with the family
lol, I heard you guys running, but didn't have cash on me (stopped by Roger Lyle's track day for a bit). How'd the race go? I'll have to remember cash with me next time they run there, could see some of it from the entrance, but would like to get in and stay for a bit.
if you google fz1 forum, this site is still number one (same for fz6r forum). the site maintained it's search ranking even with the domain name change. but yeah, someone might see the domain names and pick one with "fz" in it first.
I hop on every once in a while to see what going on, but, since I never did move to an FZ1, don't need much advice on the bike! lol. It's about the same on the 6R site though, seems to come in spurts and spittles...
I've considered a smaller bike for commuting... something about getting close to 90mpg just hard to beat....
as to fun... heck, I twist the crap out of my 6R, can run up through the gears without getting into jail speeds.... I demo day'd the R1... and never left 1st gear... what fun is that...
yeah... haters be hating! lol
been on mine for over five years and I still get a grin every time I hop on her.... way overlooked bike imho
Marthy just had access to an FZ07, said it was a great all around bike... think he's ridden most of the others as well (currently owns the FZ9)
That was my first thought, but, by the time I throw out my deductible, won't be much left to get out of it, most expensive thing I lost was the ps3, and it's only $250 new. Rest were $40-50 gadgets.
Just pulled that socket, wires behind good, so it literally just blew the extension cord out...
So, my bike was... was plugged in here on the tender.... luckily she fired right up.... don't know if the tender survived or not... extension cable that was plugged in blew out.
managed to come into my cable modem and fry everything connected to my lan... cable modem, bluerays, ps3, cable...
yes, most who hop on here and say they don't want to hear "slow down/body position", really need to hear that... but, as others said, check suspension setup first (especially if it's scrapping at slow speeds).
There are also foot pegs that offer some adjustment without rearsets... MFW Vario...
Congrats on the FJR. I got to ride that beast at a demo day... so heavy when sitting, but once you pick up you feet and roll, can't tell the difference. I will say, that navi-knob thing-a-ma-jig would take a bit to get used to, it wasn't real clear to me in the minute or two I had sitting to...
well, mine is definitely a connection issue, I can wiggle the wire and get the power light to go on/off, but even in the on state, no heat lights. And it appears it is not at one of the connectors, but where the wire goes into the black box before the controller.
I fear, at $50 for a new set...
Not sure, I've not taken it apart to look at it because it's got a two year warranty... though finding out where to contact them is proving to be troublesome.
They advertize sealed and appear sealed... this looks interesting: Oxford Heated Grips issue - ADVrider
