Multi Gague - "Gauge of Eternal Coolness" :D

It's been a long time coming, but the US version of the MultiGauge is done. There has been a lot more action on this over there, so I'm sorry I haven't been here to update in a long time. Here are some pics of the completed unit: There are 5 different faceplates...

Multi Gague - "Gauge of Eternal Coolness" :D

Thank you, Dustin. Yes, interest here is a little sparse. Not sure what to make of that, but rest assured - I'm proceeding with the build. Over on the other forum I have about 30 confirmed to buy. I need to build in batches of 50, and wanted to get at least 40 confirmed, but I'm going to...

The time has finally come. Prototype testing is done, and I'm ready to make orders for boards, all the electronic components, and other hardware. If you want the Gauge of Eternal Coolness, post up here. Cost will be $220. Delivery time will be 6-7 weeks after I get the first batch of orders...

Multi Gague - "Gauge of Eternal Coolness" :D

My friends, we are getting very close. The second prototype I built up is working. :woot: Here is a short video of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBb43MtbaKA&feature=youtu.be The software is just a simple test routine Christian made to verify the system is working with basic...

Mechanical fit check - it works :) I assembled the board with some of the PEM fasteners and standoffs. The standoffs I used are too long for the final design, but the simulate the position of the faceplate as it will be when the display and faceplate are installed. Everything fits and...

Multi Gague - "Gauge of Eternal Coolness" :D

Hey guys, sorry I haven't posted up here in a while. Yes, there has been progress. Prototype PCBs are done and in hand. I'm waiting on some of the parts to begin building up a couple of prototype assembled boards. That should happen this week. Then it will be a week or so of debug, I may...

Multi Gague - "Gauge of Eternal Coolness" :D

Some updates, folks. The PCB layout is nearly complete. I need to go over it, and do some thorough checking, and then it will be ready for fabrication and assembly. Here are some images of the single board, the fabrication panel, and a short video of what the MG looks like inside the dash...

The real answer is that I don't know for sure. But historically they have been sold for around $200 in the US. We are trying to keep the cost as low as possible.

Gauging interest . . . So . . . . . . If there were a US production run of Multigauges made, how many of you folks would be willing to sign up? It could definitely happen, if there is adequate interest.

    Suspension, Suspension, Suspension

I've done the R1 fork conversion and love it. It's hard to give a side-by-side comparison and describe exactly what's different. I also did the R6 rear shock 2 years ago, and it's been working great. But, on my last twisty ride I was going 15 - 20 mph faster than I had gone before on the...

+ 1000 You can do it, you just don't know how yet. Nobody did when they first started. If you made it through med school you have the brains to figure out the machine and figure out your body. Put them together, figure it out, take it slow. Trackdays have a novice group for a...

What epic ride do you have planned for 2013?

Don't have a hotel in Flagstaff yet; I'll check that one out. The trip down to Globe is for the Salt River Canyon. May not get all the way to Globe, since the good part is from the canyon north. Mostly sweepers and pines up there. (I live in Kansas now but AZ native and lived there for...

    New member welcome thread...

Hi folks. I've been on an 02 FZ1 for about a year and a half. Put on right around 20,000 miles since I've had it. I had a series of inferior machines prior to discovering the FZ. It's a great bike. Looking forward to what I can learn here :)
