I had an FZ6 before I bought my FZ1. I really wasnt happy with the performance of the bike while the ergos are pretty much the same the difference in power is significant. Kinda like buying a GSXR 600 vs. a 1000, I am sure there will always be a market for the 600 bikes, new riders especially being told by those around them that the 600 is a much better place to start than with a liter bike. I am sure there is merit in that advise, however after buying the gsxr 1000 and FZ1 I now kinow the ZZR 600 kawai and FZ6 they replaced are worlds apart. We only changed bikes because some undesignated person (trying to be nice) turned left and drove over my wifes ZZR 600, she saw it coming and believe it or not jumped off the bike before he actually drove over the bike. She broke her tail bone and had a few minor fractures. We decided to trade both 600's in and get the 1000's and are very happy with that decision. Not interested in ever owning a 600 again, no need to have one. Love my FZ1.
