Just wanted to welcome you to the forum. I think you'll be happy getting to know your FZ1 as long as you've changed from the stock seat. Bet of luck with your chemo and radiation treatments.
I've had nothing but positive experiences with Top Sellerie. I love the seat, way more comfortable than the stock one. I did get the long version though, to leave a little bit more room for the boys lol.:canada flag:
Yamaha Canada just released the stats and prices for the FZ10 as a 2017 model year. $15,499.00 price. And the seat height is 1.4 inches higher than the FZ1 with 5.1 more foot pounds of torque. Along with ABS and the other electrical goodies, not that bad a price. But I still have to see one in...

It wasn't dripping, just leaking enough while driving to blow back onto the motor and create the smell. The only way I found it was by checking all of the hose connections. Only one was loose (barely), after I tightened it, no more smell. Good Luck!
When I first brought my bike home (it was used) I noticed the same thing. Turned out to be a loose hose clamp on the bottom of the rad. Here's hoping your problem is as easy to fix.:sport12:
