Coming soon (Daytona 675)! Once I graduate in Dec ....
Oh it's a money pit all right.
The current body work is in good shape but it has been repaired several times, or maybe just once, but a big crash. I just want a new, fresh set of skins. I'm also going from an SS tail to a SBK tail that uses a foam pad instead of the OEM saddle.
The Yoyodyne subframe is simply too cool, and my current OEM subframe has a crack in the tail of it. It's a cast piece and looks heavy. The Yoyo is an aluminum, welded frame. I'll need to fab up a battery bracket, etc. but nothing that $10.00 of band alu won't fix.
My current sliders are Vortex and have been down. I just want a new set, so Woodcraft of course.
Finally there is not a shift rod for my Woodcraft rearset that will take a DynoJet QS module so I asked WC to make one up. In turn they'll sell a shift rod for their 03-05 R6, and R6S rearsets as an option. The QS along with the slipper clutch is simply a dream.
Of the OEM parts I need a new puke bottle, I can't see the coolant level easily in the current one, and I need an genuine Yamaha clutch lever and bushing. The replacement from Cycle Gear isn't cutting the mustard.
And lastly I'm buying the tuning fork sticker for my top clamp.
I also have my eyes and ears open for a set of trick wheels. I missed a pair of Marchesini wheels for a steal the other day. Winter always brings out the bargains.
My FZ1, I simply love it! I raised my ConvertiBars one notch, about 7/8 of an inch. I've not tired them yet.
WOW, you are giving me tremors for my track ambitions! Looks like a lot of cool parts and slowly becoming a race bike; any plans?
