Could you explain this in simple speak, why it's a potentially bad thing? I'm genuinely curious about this, since it's a change that I've made to my bike admittedly without fully understanding - seems you know more than I do :)
The settings increase the richness of the air/fuel mix in each cylinder. "0" is the default and changing the values by +1 or -1 increases or decreases richness by +1% or -1% respectively
I am not sure whether this affects just your idle and closed throttle A/F mix, or whether this affects the...
After CD flies, LARS airbox and PiperCross air filter some time ago, finally got around with playing with the ECU. Increased all CO values by 4 and it certainly seems to have smoothed it out a lot!
So smooth that I don't think I'll need to spend the money on a PowerCommander. 1 x very happy...
If the temperature is that high, have you checked that you have a decent amount of coolant in your radiator and that it doesn't need changing? I'd also check that the two fans bolted to the back of the radiator are coming on correctly when the temperature trips over 100 celcius - you can see and...
Parked at a friend's house, went out for a couple of drinks and came back to find somebody had knocked my FZ over...
Bugger had picked it back up onto the side stand and left without so much as leaving a note!!
Scuffs on the left hand side.. Mirror, crash protector, clutch lever...
Unsafe speed, unapproved helmet (not that any helmet can help much in a head on collision). That's such a shame and such a tragic end for a man who must have been such a role model for Josiah :(
Cut up the air box Lars style and put in some CD flies thanks to Delbert!
What a difference!! Nice deep sound coming from the air box and a bunch more grunt :)
I think on the FZ, the EXUP valve remains completely closed below about 4000 RPM (cannot find a source to confirm this) and then gradually opens up...
I was reassembling mine the other day - and unless I've done it completely wrong... With no cables attached, the valve is held open by the...
Hello! So, due to a little trouble with the law lately, the bike hasn't been able to have much attention - however I have some mods lined up... Having been running with a nice loud and lairy slip-on for the last few months, I've really noticed the lack of power in the lower RPM's, and this has...
Unless the PC5/AutoTune takes into account the fact the bike has AIS, fresh air into your exhaust system must completely throw out the readings to the AutoTune's o2 sensor? In which case, I'd strongly suggest block off plates!
AFAIK, the OEM o2 sensor also needs to be blocked off to prevent the...
I made up 6 loops from an old strap.. they were permanently attached around my old FZ6's grab rails - worked a treat. Much easier to hook through the loop than to get onto the rails + no scratches
Traffic isn't so bad! Every time I hit a queue, I can filter through to the front and be happy thinking how much longer I'd be waiting if I was stuck in one of those horrible cages :)
+1 on ridiculously low speed limits.
Cagers who drive below them.
Also skittish drivers - the ones who get nervous when a bike approaches from behind them. In my experience, they're the ones most likely to make silly/unexpected moves and cause an accident.
Middle lane campers!
People...
Mine and the girlfriend's... Guess which belongs to who!
The Qwest is fairly quiet! Like others have said, the upright riding position on the FZ and the stock screen make it louder than it could be without tilting your head forward. Also the airflow creates an annoying whistling sound for me...
