What did you do to your FZ today?

I finally put on my R1 shock that I have had sitting around for months.

What did you do to your FZ today?

Installed a set of speed bleeders on the front and flushed / bled my front brakes. It is so simple with these things, I love them. Also finally cleaned the surface rust off of my chain after sitting all winter. All I need now is an oil change and I am good to go for the season! I am still...

SpeedoDRD speedo healer $70 tyd obo

You might also want to edit the title as well, you are selling a SpeedoDRD. Speedohealer is a different product by a different manufacturer, it is a little misleading.

Sell or Keep my Gen II?

I never understood the idea of selling something you use and love just to put the money into savings. If / when the money is needed sell the bike. I understand that the bike will depreciate with time, but what is more enjoyable riding the bike or looking at the bank statement? I have toyed...

Is there a limit for sprocket size for a stock bike?

You don't want to go too small in the front as it will bind and is not good for the chain but 16 is very common so no problem there. You can go as big as you want in the rear as long as the chain is long enough. Also keep in mind that your speedo will be off quite a bit after changing sprocket...

What did you do to your FZ today?

Felt some vertical play in the swing arm so I tore her all apart to investigate. Turns out the play is in the shock linkage and appears to be normal . Oh well at least I have all freshly greased bearings in the swing arm and linkage now. I also finally got around to gutting the cat since I...

What did you do to your FZ today?

On Friday I finally adjusted my stock suspension (only took me 3 years...) and I cannot believe I didn't do this sooner, made a huge difference. Then took the bike for a nice 300 mile ride!

    Ais

I plugged my AIS and still had a lot of popping, so when I changed my plugs I installed the block off plates, still had popping. I switched the PCV map I was running and that greatly reduced the popping. So you more than likely have an issue elsewhere, or your plug is leaking.

    PCV 02 eliminator

Not sure how they differ but I am running a PCV on my 06 with no eliminator, just unplugged the sensor. No lights, no problems.

What Seat Do You Use? (Gen II)

I have had a Sargent, Corbin, and stock, I ended up settling on the Dirtroad. Way better then the others as well as cheaper.

What did you do to your FZ today?

You are not going to get anymore room with the tank and air box off. The plugs and AIS are under the ecu and rubber flap thing, the frame also gets in the way. You will see what I mean when you get in there. But definitely spend the 10 bucks to get the right tool unless you have allllll day.

What did you do to your FZ today?

You need a 5mm allen for the AIS plates. There isn't much room in there and it takes A LONG time using a allen key making 1/2 turns at a time. I bought some thing like this:

What did you do to your FZ today?

Changed the plugs and installed the AIS plates yesterday, what a major PITA. Installed iridium plugs so at least I wont have to do it again for awhile (although now they should be easy without the AIS) Tip: If you plan on installing the block off plates go buy yourself the right bit driver...
